My first job at age 17 was working as a laborer for my family's dock building business, right in Greenport. The work was exceptionally difficult, but it was where I learned the value of hard work & craftsmanship. Soon after, I enlisted in the Marine Corps, ultimately attaining the rank of Sergeant during 6 years of honorable service. After military service, I settled in Boston, working first as a truck mechanic, and later repairing industrial equipment & machinery. Trained in the military as a truck mechanic, I developed a knack for troubleshooting industrial electrical circuits.
Upon returning to Long Island, I continued working as a mechanic & technician in a variety of capacities while I raised my kids in Greenport. During this time I returned to finish a college degree & pursue graduate degrees, all the while working part time as a helper to several established home improvement contractors. Through years of hands-on experience, I learned all aspects of residential construction & renovations.
In 2022 I founded my own business, Cary Home Improvement, built on a commitment to quality craftsmanship, reliability, & a close attention to detail. Today, we proudly handle projects of all sizes, delivering skilled craftsmanship and personalized service to homeowners and businesses on Long Island's North Fork and Shelter Island.
